Inquiry About File-Based Output Support in D-ID Avatar API

Dear D-ID Support Team,

I hope this message finds you well. I am currently exploring the D-ID Avatar API for generating avatar-based videos and have a question regarding the output format.

While the API documentation highlights real-time streaming via WebRTC, I would like to confirm if it is possible to generate and receive the output as a file (e.g., MP4) instead of a stream. Specifically, I am interested in understanding:

Does the API (e.g., Clips API or similar) support generating videos as downloadable MP4 files?
If supported, what are the steps or endpoints required to request file-based output?
Are there any limitations (e.g., file size, resolution, or storage duration) or additional costs associated with file-based outputs?
Any guidance or reference to relevant documentation would be greatly appreciated. Please let me know if you need additional details about my use case.

Thank you for your time and support.

Best regards,

Admin

Dear User,

Thank you for reaching out and for your interest in the D-ID API.

If you are looking to generate avatar-based videos with a downloadable link (instead of streaming), we recommend using the Talks and Clips endpoints. These APIs support video generation and provide a URL to download the output as an MP4 file once the video has been generated.
